About the Products
What kind of wax do you use? Every candle is hand-poured with a clean-burning soy wax blend. Soy burns cooler, slower, and cleaner than paraffin, which means a longer-lasting candle and a better scent throw without the heavy smoke or soot.
Are your candles non-toxic? Yes. Our soy wax blend is free of paraffin, lead, and other harsh additives. We use fragrance oils that meet IFRA (International Fragrance Association) standards and cotton wicks free of lead or zinc cores. Clean ingredients, made for the way you actually live.
How long does each candle burn? Our 8.5 oz soy candles offer approximately 40–50 hours of burn time when cared for properly. Longer if you trim your wick before every burn (more on that below).
Are your products safe around pets? Our soy candles are made with pet-friendly ingredients, but as with any candle, we recommend burning in a well-ventilated area and never leaving an open flame unattended around pets or small children. Reed diffusers and room sprays should be kept out of reach, since the fragrance oils inside are concentrated.
What's the difference between Coach's Candles and Scents You Desire? Coach's Candles are cozy, nostalgic scents inspired by everyday moments — leather, mahogany, warm florals, fresh aquatics. Designed to make a space feel grounded and familiar. Scents You Desire is the elevated side of the house — refined, modern fragrances meant to feel timeless and a little luxurious. Think spa-quiet lavender, coastal orchid, sun-warmed cactus. Different moods, same hand-poured Texas craftsmanship.
How long does a reed diffuser last? With proper care (more below), our reed diffusers fragrance a room for approximately 2–3 months. Flipping the reeds weekly keeps the scent fresh and consistent.
How long does a room spray last? A few sprays will scent an average-sized room for several hours. Each 4 oz bottle gives you dozens of uses.
How long does a car diffuser last? Our 8 ml car diffusers typically last 3–4 weeks, depending on how often you drive and whether the diffuser is exposed to direct heat.
Do you offer custom scents or private label? Yes. We offer private label and wholesale programs for boutiques, salons, real estate agents, event planners, and brands who want their own line of hand-poured fragrance. Visit our Private Label & Wholesale page for details, or email us directly.
Ordering & Shipping
When will my order ship? Most orders are processed and shipped within 2–3 business days. Because every candle is hand-poured in small batches, busy seasons (holidays, launches) may add an extra day or two — we'll always note it on the product page if so.
Do you offer free shipping? Yes — free U.S. shipping on every order over $50.
Where do you ship? We currently ship throughout the continental United States. International shipping is on the roadmap.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it? We move quickly to get orders out the door. If you need to make a change, email us within 12 hours of placing your order and we'll do our best. Once an order has shipped, we're unable to cancel.
Do you offer gift wrapping or gift notes? Yes — a gift note option is available at checkout. For larger gift orders (corporate, event, wedding), reach out about our Signature Event Gifts collection and we'll handle wrapping for you.
Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy? We want you to love what you order. If something arrives damaged or isn't what you expected, email us within 14 days of delivery and we'll make it right. Full details are on our Refund Policy page.
What if my candle arrives broken? Email a photo of the damaged item and your order number within 7 days of delivery and we'll send a replacement at no cost. Shipping fragile goods means occasional accidents — we have you covered.
Can I return a candle I've already burned? For health and safety reasons, used candles, opened reed diffusers, and partially used sprays can't be returned. If a candle arrives defective or doesn't burn properly, contact us — we'll make it right.
Care & Use
How do I get the best burn from my candle? Three small things make a big difference: First, always trim your wick to ¼" before lighting. Long wicks create smoke, soot, and an uneven burn. Second, let your first burn last 2–4 hours. Soy wax has memory — if the first burn doesn't melt the wax fully across the surface, the candle will "tunnel" on every burn after. Third, never burn for more than 4 hours at a time, and keep your candle away from drafts, vents, and direct sunlight.
Why does the top of my candle look a little uneven or frosted? That's a natural quality of pure soy wax. The crystalline "frosting" on the surface is a sign the wax is unbleached and untreated. It doesn't affect the burn or the scent — just proof you're getting the real thing.
How do I refresh my reed diffuser? Flip the reeds once a week to refresh the scent throw. Keep the diffuser out of direct sunlight and away from heat vents. When the scent begins to fade (usually around the 2–3 month mark), replace the reeds for an extra boost.
Can I burn a candle in a small bathroom or closet? We don't recommend burning any candle in a space smaller than 50 sq ft or in unventilated areas. Reed diffusers and room sprays are better suited to small or enclosed spaces.
